Why Koh Tao?
Unlike our bigger neighbour islands Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, Koh Tao remained untouched by tourism for many years until the first Samui based dive operators began running overnight dive trips in the early 1990’s and were amazed by what they saw.
Due to its location further off the mainland, Koh Tao is surrounded by crystal clear waters offering an amazing array of color and coral reefs alive with an incredible diversity of marine life.
Divers soon settled down on Koh Tao realising they had uncovered a wealth of untouched beauty.
For the next 25+ years, an increase in tourism has seen Koh Tao recognised as one of the world’s most beautiful islands, both above and below the water.
Marine Conservation
Crystal Dive is one of the most established dive centers on our little island, surrounded by the beauty of our coral reef habitat. As such, we are leading the way in Marine Conservation projects in conjunction with Koh Tao’s most proactive environmental organisation: “The Coral Tribe”.
We have been building and maintaining Koh Tao’s most popular artificial reef, helping to preserve the waters and reef ecology around Koh Tao. We offer a wide range of Marine conservation Eco diving courses and programs to further education and awareness for this fragile environment.
Over the past 20 years we have always been at the forefront of researching and creating new methods to conserve and protect the environment on land and underwater. With this in mind we have always integrated Eco Activities in all our Pro-Level-Education and will continually strive to further this for a better future.

Accommodation
Crystal Dive offers free or discounted A/C accommodation for the duration of any certification diving course & any other diving activities. Read more about our accommodation options here. Classrooms
Our facilities are equipped with multiple modern air-conditioned classrooms right on the beach to offer you the service of learning theory aspects in your pace, language & at any time of the day. If you like to study on the beach, in the restaurant or bar, we can of course make that happen as well.
Pools & Boats
Crystal Dive offers 2 purpose-built diving pools on site which are solely built for diver training and separate from the resort swimming pools that you can use as well when staying with us.
We use our own fleet of 3 custom built dive boats, which leave from our own pier only 100 metres down the beach from our dive center – so there is no long transfer times needed. Each boat offers plenty of space for divers and non-divers alike to enjoy themselves on our half-day trips without being overcrowded.
Our Location
We are located right on the beach, and so are you when you are staying & diving with us. Our beachfront location hosts a beach bar, Thai restaurant and free WiFi.
It is the perfect setting to enjoy a well deserved drink after a day of diving and enjoy one of Koh Tao’s amazing sunsets here at Crystal Dive on Koh Tao.

At Crystal Dive you will get the personal touch. Your instructor will guide you through the whole program that you booked with us. With our great facilities we do not need to rent space with other dive centers for boat or pool space, its already here.
Highest Safety Standards
We hold our safety & training standards high and will teach you according to that. Our multilingual staff will make sure that each course element is fully mastered before we move on.
Patient, Performance Based Training & Personal Touch
We will always provide diver training that is performance based and never rush you. If extra time is needed to gain the confidence and mastery, we will give it to you – free of any extra charges that may apply in other dive centers.
How to get here?
Daytime ferries are available, mainly from Chumphon as it has the closest link to Bangkok or Surat Thani.
Night boats are a popular option, as you spend a night on the ferry and will arrive on Koh Tao to start your diving adventures straight after your arrival.
Daily flights connect Bangkok with Surat Thani or Chumphon and you have Koh Samui as another option as well. From Koh Samui, your onwards travel options depend on the arrival time of your flight, depending on ferry times scheduled for the particular month.
From Koh Samui you can take a ferry to bring you to Koh Tao in about 3 hours time.
