EMERGENCY OXYGEN PROVIDER SPECIALTY COURSE
Oxygen is crucial for sustaining life, and a lack of it can lead to rapid deterioration and even death.
Oxygen therapy is a vital treatment for various injuries and illnesses, significantly improving the chances of recovery when administered promptly and appropriately.
Two crucial steps in treating a diver suffering from conditions like decompression sickness, lung over-expansion injuries, or near-drowning are knowing how to provide emergency Oxygen and promptly activating local medical services (EMS).
Extensive research and medical case histories clearly indicate that administering oxygen promptly has a profound impact on a patient’s immediate condition and their long-term recovery.
The objective of the Emergency Oxygen Provider course is to equip scuba divers and individuals in a position to assist divers with the correct administration of emergency Oxygen, while also mobilizing local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for arranging evacuation to the nearest medical facility.
