The Instructor course is a 2 week program with a set schedule. There is a few different parts to the course that you will need to complete before you head to your Instructor Exam:

The Instructor Course Prerequisites:

Minimum Age
To join our Instructor Course you have to be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum Dives
To join our Instructor Course you need to have 60 logged scuba dives totaling 65 hours. If you don’t have them upon arrival, you can build those up here before officially starting with your training.
Certifications
You will have to be a Divemaster and completed the React Right Course (or equivalent) within 24 months before Course start & certification. Student level Nitrox Specialty training is also needed.
Medical Statement
You need to be medically fit for diving. You will find the Medical Statement for Scuba Diving here to download. To participate in a Pro-Level-Training Course you need this Medical signed by a physician issued within12 months before course start.

Guesthouses:
Most trainees stay in nearby guesthouses offering private rooms with amenities like cable TV, fridge, en-suite bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Prices range from 7,000–14,000 THB per month, depending on size, air-conditioning, and season.
Private Bungalows or Houses:
For a more upscale option, detached bungalows or houses with multiple bedrooms and kitchens are available, priced between 18,000–30,000 THB per month based on size and location.

Instructor Examinations (IE)
Upon successful completion of all performance requirements of the ITC you will that have a mock instructor exam over 2 days exactly like the actual exam. This helps our Instructor Trainers to confirm that you are fully prepared to enter the actual 2 day Instructor Examination (IE).
This is an external examination conducted by staff from HQ on Koh Tao. Over two days you’ll be examined to make sure you are able to teach scuba diving safely, working to instructor standards.

Can I start my Instructor Course any day?
No, the Instructor courses run on a strict schedule to fit around the regular monthly exam dates. However if you decide on attending a course that we have scheduled, we can send you some materials for you to start preparing sith self study.
Is it possible to change the schedule for the Instructor Course?
Our schedules are fixed to a certain extent. There is alot to cover in a short 2 weeks so the schedule needs to be followed.
What are the rates for accommodation in my Instructor Course?
For your instructor Course we offer accommodation in a private AC room (choice of Double or Twin) at a discounted rate. More information here or just contact us directly.
What are the minimum requirements to start my Instructor Course?

Can I Work for Crystal Dive after completing my Instructor Course?
Yes! We constantly have a rotation of staff as many people work for us temporarily. If you decide you would like the chance to join the team, you can do the working internship after your Instructor certification. This internship is actually included for free with the Instructor Lifestyle Package. All of our instructor team are DMI (Divemaster Instructor) level or higher so they can teach a number of specialties so we would reccomend training to this level.
Whats the next step after completing my Instructor Course?
If you want to look for more responsibilties after your Instructor, the next step is becoming an Divemaster instructor! This is where you will be able to teach and mentor people to the professional level of SCUBA diving.
