Oh my god! olalalala! sacrebleu! Oli, George, Anna, Mimi,Johnathan, James, Tod, Tom, Claude, Anna&Evan, Na, Neils, all the people on the boat and everyone at Crystal Dive I forgot to mention but I keep in my heart! Thank you! I’m not going to say how good were the lessons and the teaching and the gears and the professionalism because it’s been said over and over again, but what I’ll say is : we cried for our rescue because it was tough! But also, we laughed, and we laughed, and laughed some more. And it was… great? Amazing? Of course it was… and one day we leave on that stupid speedboat and life has to carry on, but you’ll leave a tiny piece of you there.I wish to all of you all the best, and may everyone that come to learn with you have has much fun as we did!
Did my SSI advanced here with Kelvin. Top instructor with a lot of expertise, good explanations, loads of patience and luckily just a nice guy. He also maintains a good balance between learning moments and enjoying the dive. Crystal is also an excellent diving school. Material could use an update.
Done the open water and the advance courses.The instructors give you enough time to practice and feel confident enough to dive and not rushing you just to be on time.My instructor was melanie which was the best. Very calm but yet organized and thorough. Makes the course really fun and easy to learn all the skills.Also the diving center gives you a free accommodation and even discount on days that you don’t dive
We decided to do 1 or 2 Specialty Courses at Crystal. Because it was so chill & fun with our Instructor Bo, we ended up with 5 courses: Fish ID, Marine Ecology, Deep Diving, Night Diving & Nitrox. If we had more time, we would probably do even more. The best dive center we've had so far (we had 4 on Koh Tao). And we even saw a whale shark with Crystal today (you can see it on my IG: bjay_am_apparat) 😍
I would give more stars if I could. As a German who is used to European commerce, I was very surprised at how much you get for your money here.I booked the Open Diver course for around €300. It was currently possible to get accommodation for the duration of the course (3 days). So first about the accommodation: It was great. For everything I have experienced in Thailand so far, it was one of the best accommodations. The only drawback was the lack of small lamps for reading next to the bed, you only had the large ceiling light available. Otherwise very clean, nice bathroom and the accommodation was right next to the diving center on the beach.The diving course was also great. We had Vik as a teacher, who we immediately fell in love with because of his charming, endearing, humorous nature. My girlfriend and I are already thinking about doing the next diving courses here on our next vacation, just so Vik can be our instructor.The diving course lasted three days, on the first day there was a pool session in which you could learn all the techniques, on the next two days you went straight into the water, at the end even up to 18m deep. We always felt very safe and well looked after, and it was also a lot of fun.Unfortunately, my friend got food poisoning in the evening on the second day, which is why we were worried that she wouldn't be able to dive on the third day. That wasn't a problem at all, so Vik simply postponed the last day's dives a day later and my girlfriend was able to recover well and complete the last dive a day later.What also struck me positively was that this diving center is best equipped overall: it has several pools, a bar, a restaurant and a lot of modern accommodation. As you move around Koh Tao you will see that many of the other dive centers often seem squeezed into busy streets. Crystal Dive, on the other hand, has all the peace and space it wants.I also found it exciting that the air canisters on the boat are refilled by Crystal Dive. At the harbor I was able to observe how other diving schools were replacing all the canisters at the harbor. For me that was another plus point in terms of modernity.Conclusion: I was very impressed with how much you get for your money here. I always felt that every penny I invested here was used to strengthen the diving experience and the community of local divers, not to make someone in the background rich. I haven't had something like that in Germany for a long time and I just found it very refreshing and nice. Everything is modern, Vik is a top-class diving instructor and overall the vibe of the entire facility is very pleasant. I can recommend it to everyone!

I just wrapped up my Open Water certification at Crystal Dive in Koh Tao, and I had an incredible time. Greg, my instructor, was really fantastic – he explained everything so well and made the whole process really enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get certified. The fact that they include accommodation during the course was a huge perk, too.
I just completed my rescue, dpv, sidemount, and deco specialties with Crystal. They are awesome — everyone, from the instructors to the DMs and boat crew, was nice, patient, and very professional. Oli and George are the best instructors ever! I had a blast the whole time. For me, diving with Crystal: it's as good as it gets!
I did both my Open Water course and then the Advanced Adventurer course with Vera - a big recommendation! Vera is very competent, structured and motivated in teaching knowledge & skills, which made me feel very safe in the water and enjoy my diving experience. I would do another course with her anytime! 🤿
